Asphalt emulsion is a well-balanced, single phase state -provided via the use of certain chemicals- of a liquid with within the other in micronized size, which are unsoluble and immiscible one in another in 2 separate phases under normal conditions. In the asphalt emulsions, asphalt is spread within the water in spherical form. In order to maintain these 2 phases together constanly, an emulgator material is needed.
